Hey, my names Woody and I really like
these people here at BHRA, so much so that I keep coming back to
them!!! I have had several failed forever homes and it’s been no
one’s fault but I am particular and I will know my forever home when
I arrive there! I originally came to BHRA as a stray out of the
Gadsden area and am about 7 years old. I’m your typical basset
hound that LOVES to counter cruise but if you tell me to stop, I
will listen and get down. I do not have any Alpha dog tendencies at
all so I get along great with other dogs and even kitty cats! I’m a
love bug and will love my people when I find them as well as follow
them around anywhere. I love to wag my tail, eat in my crate, run
and plan my next escape just like Houdini! I do have a bit of a
weird habit… I, um, I like to chew on rocks, he he. Please don’t
fault me for this, as I had very little supervision in the past and
am missing a few teeth from my habit, but I am working on this!
I love my foster momma and I sleep wedged up so close to her at
night that you could not fit a piece of paper between the two of us.
I am a good boy and I don't move a muscle all night long! I am
very needy and like to keep my people in sight at all times.
This might have something to do with the fact that I have been
bounced around from home to home so many times. I would really
like to have a person who is home all the time...but if they work
during the day, I probably need to have a crate and be kept inside
instead of outside during the day. I am a very happy and
playful dog...but I am just as happy to settle in for a nice long
love fest with me people1 I
would really love to find a family with some kids that I can run and
play with in a big back yard to run off this energy in! Despite
everything, I really am a very sweet boy who is just trying to find
my new home!
