Hi! My name is Martina and I am
about five years old. I first came to BHRA from a shelter, and was
adopted out. Unfortunately for me I was returned because of some jealousy
problems with other dogs getting my "person's" attention. I
am a really loving girl who loves to dole out
kisses and I am happy to receive hugs and snuggles. I do well with
kids and I am very playful. I am doing just fine with the dogs I
am bunking with right now, but I can be aggressive when it comes to
other dogs getting in the bed with me and my people. I just want
to be the closest! If another dog invades my territory I can go
after them and bark at them quite loudly, so for this reason I might be
happiest in a home where I am the only dog. I like my foster's cat
and get along with him just fine. I have a very gentle
personality and I am really just a love bug. I was crate trained and
housebroken, but I have had some accidents so my foster people are
working with me on my
housebreaking training to get me back on track. I am also a very
good counter cruiser--a typical hound behavior, so don't leave a loaf
of bread up there or it will be my "snack". If you have a no-other-dog
home or maybe just another male with a laid back personality, I would be a great pet for you! I need my people to show me that no
matter what I will always have their love and attention because
sometimes I am not quite convinced it will keep coming. Contact my fosters for more info on
me!
Adopted by
her foster mom, Kelly Cothran of Madison, Alabama!
Congratulations you two!
