HOMETHE GIRLS

Hey Y'all!  My name is Jenna and I am just an adorable southern belle!  I came into BHRA terribly thin, with very little hair from mange and I was just a mess.  Well luckily for me these nice people at BHRA have nursed me back to health with a lot of love and care!  Boy has it paid off...just look at my pretty red fur in all it's glory!  As you can see by my pictures I don't much like to have my pictures made, but I am a sweet girl.  My foster mom says I may just be the perfect companion hound! I am a sweet, easygoing and well behaved little lady, and I am also affectionate and energetic (perhaps good for kids?) I like to take naps at your feet, car rides and lots of belly rubs and I sure do like a brisk walk and playtime with other dogs (I haven't met any cats yet). I'll go after a ball, play chase, etc., or curl up for cuddle time. I am quite agreeable about baths, ear cleaning and toenail clipping!  My foster mom is also happy to report that she has seen no signs of aggressive or unpleasant behavior in me! Being a natural redhead, I gets LOTS of attention out in public, and I never meet a stranger.  I am very, very smart and trainable. I am quickly learning to walk on a leash. My foster mom is working with me refreshing my housetraining skills and I am making great progress!  I enjoy having my own retreat space, whether it's a big blanket and pillow in the corner, or a crate of my own. I like to hide my toys and treats, then triumphantly retrieve them for later. It's also a safe place when I hear thunder, or loud action movies on DVD. I will calm down very quickly when I can get to "my" space.  I am very alert and have a menacing bark to warn you of strangers near the property, which my foster mom thinks would be great for someone living alone. I also take direction pretty well, and I respond quickly to a low, firm "Jenna, no!" (or two).  If you'd like more info on me, please contact my foster mom!  She'd love to tell you all about me!
