Special Owner Surrender

Hello!  My name is Homer.  I have a very sad story to tell.  My mother, who loves me very, very much, is terminally ill with cancer and is now so sick she is no longer able to care for me.  Her last wish is that I find a good home with some nice family who will love me as much as she does.  I have been very lucky to have been loved so much, but I miss her terribly and I am sad right now.  I am doing just fine at my foster home.  There are lots of dogs to play with.  My foster mom says I have the softest fur and she thinks I am just great!  (I think she is pretty neat too!)  I love to give really soft kisses and I take treats very gently out of her hand.  I have this funny quirk.  When I am getting ready to get up on the couch, I put my front paws up and then I just sit there and look around.  I just need to check it all out and make sure it is the best spot!  When I have made up my mind I hop up and lay down.  One of my favorite things to do is cuddle in bed.  As a matter of fact, I like to have my own pillow so I can lay my head on it right next to you.  I am about 58 pounds and I am only 1 to 1 1/2 years old.  If you think you can love me as much as my mom does and that you can give me a really good loving home, please call my foster mom.  I know she'd love to hear from you!  I sure hope I find my way to my new home soon so that my mom can rest easy knowing that I will be well taken care of.

Adopted by Miss Campbell of Montgomery, Alabama!  Yeah for Homer!!
