Our Groomers

This team of dedicated professionals has become an incredibly valuable part of our BHRA family! Family-owned and operated, these ladies boast 26 years’ experience in professional grooming services in the Bluff Park area. Each are certified groomers, members of the American Dog Groomers’ Association. All dogs are hand-fluff dried. They do not use any sedation and do not de-matt (in the best interest of the dog)… and the results are spectacular!

In addition to the simple basics of “looking good”, quality groomers look well beyond the surface. What skin problems may need treatment? What problem behaviors may contribute to skin and coat issues? What can you work into your pet’s routine to minimize these problems? What services can a professional groomer provide for your cherished pet that will directly promote its health and longevity?

The professionals at J.R.’s Pet Grooming happily provide these services to BHRA dogs as a community service. Their requirements are simple: “Whatever it takes to help these babies find their forever homes!” They take on each dog as its precious, unique self and look for ways they can help us and the dogs! Here are some examples:

	ØThe dog with scabby lesions on the skin from an allergy, and the one who was “bred to death” with crusty scales and bleeding, cracked and scaly skin: Rx – hot oil treatment / massage!
	The dog who went berserk when the first drop of water ever hit her – clearly NEVER had a bath in her life!: Rx – gently bathe (services provided by J.R. Pets) with increasing regularity until the bath can be recognized as a “good thing”!

ØThe dog with matted clumps of fur from biting and scratching: Rx – extreme flea control and special diet & meds as prescribed by the family veterinarian … and a special blended grooming cut (to hide the blemishes) by J.R.’s Pet Grooming professionals!
