Hi!  My name is Jackson and I want to tell you a little bit about me.  I’m an owner surrender from the Mississippi area.  I am approximately 4 years old and I’m a stout 65 pounds.  Sadly, my life started off rough, but I’m getting back on track and looking for someone to love and care for me.  However, I cannot be adopted out to a home with small children and I’m hoping you will understand that because of my past.  I had some trust/food issues, but my foster mom works with me everyday to ensure that I get better.  I love to play, jump and run with my current basset friends.  My foster parents have been taking very good care of me and they have trained me to sit and stay on command.  Also, I walk well on a leash using either a collar or harness.  I stay outside, for the most part, but am housebroken as well.  I love baths and treats, but I’m still getting used to having my toenails manicured.  I love people of older age, most dogs (I’m an alpha male) and even cats.  Won’t you please contact my foster parents about me?  I would love to come live with you and be your buddy.  Thank you for your interest in me.
