It has been a very long day here and with great sadness, I had to help Zach over the Bridge today.  He had become so weak from the cancer and all the meds he was taking that when we got up this morning, he was trying to let me know that he was ready...even though I wasn't.  Zach was my trooper until the end.  Bless his heart, he died with his dignity still intact; he was a true Southern Gentleman.  As most of you know, he came through BHRA but turned out to be a biter and had some behavioral problems...so we agreed to let him come live with us & the hounds...well Zach turned out to be an awesome dog that I couldn't have loved anymore than one that has always lived with here.  I will miss him always and think of him often.  When you hug your furkids tonight, please give them a belly rub for Zach.  I wish there was a way that we could keep them from being taken from us so soon...

Even though Zach could be a handful some days, I wouldn't have traded him for anything..He was a very regal hound and owned everything that he touched, including my heart.  Here is a picture of him in all his glory..

Thanks,

Haley & the hounds
