Hi! My name is Daisy Mae
and I am a stray from the Guntersville area. I was quite a surprise to
these BHRA folks, as I was getting ready to have EIGHT puppies. I
have done my duty with my pups, who have all been placed in fantastic
homes...now it is my turn for the good life! I am approximately
three years old and a beautiful red and white girl. When I came to
BHRA...full of puppies...I was very skinny. Although I have been
fed very well, I am still on the skinny side after nursing all of those
pups, but my foster people are going to work really hard to plump me up.
I have very good manners and sit quietly while my foster people eat.
I have lots of energy and have been known to take my foster mom for a
good run now and then. I do very well on a leash. I love my crate
and I sleep in it all night without a peep! I get along fine with other dogs and
I have no aggression in me at all! I am perfectly happy not to be the
alpha dog. I am
coming along just fine on my potty training. I just love it when
my foster people praise me...it makes me feel so proud of myself and I
just love to please my people. I follow my foster mom around
everywhere she goes and sometime I can get right under her feet...she is
my pal. My foster people have been calling
me "Sweet Pea" because it just fits my sweet little personality.
I have a very silly bark and I sound like a hundred pound Great Dane!
I guess it just surprises people that such a big bark comes out of my
little body! I am learning what is ok for me to chew on (dog toys)
and what is not ok for me to chew on (my foster mom's shoes) but I'll
get the hang of it soon enough! I am coming out of my shell and
really learning to play and be a fun little dog! I
am just going to hang out here while I wait for my forever home.
If you think you can give me the life of safety and love that I deserve,
please contact these nice BHRA people. I'll be waiting for you!
