A few years ago my husband and I adopted from BHRA the sweetest basset ever.  His name was Brodie.  I just want to let you know that our dear sweet Brodie died unexpectedly in his sleep Monday night.  Shortly after we adopted him we learned through a routine vet visit that his heart was not functioning properly.  Since then we had been giving him heart medication prescribed by our vet and Brodie had no problems/issues whatsoever with his heart.  We are quite shocked and deeply saddened by his death.  He was absolutely the sweetest, most lovable dog I have ever known.  We miss him terribly.

I've attached a picture of Brodie.  He was very special to us.  And as you can see, he was quite handsome.
