3/14/09 Puppy Update!
The puppies are all old enough to be spayed and neutered.  They are getting placed in their foster homes.

Bella and Daphne have weaned their pups and they are ready to be adopted!

sixteen puppies by putting their food on a cookie sheet...wonder no more!

The puppies had a day out at the Community Presbyterian Church
Mother's Day Our Program in Moody, Alabama! 

Our little Daphne had TEN little puppies (7 boys and 3 girls) that will be up for adoption after they are big enough to be fully vetted and have their spay/neuter.  Daphne is a Basset Hound, but the puppies appear to be mixes.

A very special BHRA thank you goes out to Dr. Nelson and her staff at Crossroads Animal Hospital in Moody, Alabama!


Our hero, Dr. Nelson, who performed C-Sections on both Bella and Daphne!


Daphne VERY full of 10 puppies!


Daphne after 18 pounds of puppies and fluid were out of her belly!


Tan puppy is one of Bella's puppies at 7 days old as compared with one of Daphne's puppies just a few hours old.  They grow so fast!

The Boys:

 Gus:  Brown with black mask like a raccoon
Nick:  Brown & white with a lightening bolt on belly
Tate:  Black, brown with a full "V" on belly and a strip of white on head
Wizzer:  Black & brown with an incomplete "V" on belly.
Winslow:  Tan 
Abbott:  Tan and has a clubbed foot. 
Tyson:  Brown & white. Half brown, half white face.

 

The Girls:

 Kahlua:  Black, white & brown with a stripe of white between her eyes
Lyla:  Brown & white with a stripe on her head
Liberty:  Brown & tan, no stripe on head and has a white "O" on her belly

Don't forget about Daphne!  She'll be needing her own forever
home after she finishes raising these babies!
